Thanksgiving was a huge success this year! It was just me and my immediate family, so I was able to geek out and create all my dream recipes from Pinterest! Our menu included stuffed butternut squash, whole grain roles, brussel sprouts and cranberries, green beans, and then turkey and stuffing for our non-vegetarians. Scroll down for pictures and links to the recipes! These one hour whole wheat rolls were delicious and oh so easy! http://heavenlyhomemakers.com/one-hour-whole-wheat-yeast-rolls-no-kneading-required Squash served as my main dish, piled high with rice, tofu, pomegranate seeds, and more! http://www.picklesnhoney.com/2014/11/10/stuffed-butternut-squash-eat-clean-live-well/ Who ever said brussel sprouts weren't delicious?! We cooked them in a pan and added cranberries, goat cheese, and pecans. Everyone will want to eat these delicious vegetables!
Today was the dreaded practice ACT... But with a late start I had time to run and make this delicious bowl! I started by simply cooking oatmeal in the microwave. I then topped that with cooked peppers, green onions, and scrambled eggs. A garnish of goat cheese, salt and pepper, and cilantro finished it off perfectly! It definitely made my day a little brighter! ☀️ A little berry bowl photo shoot to start the morning! The smoothie is made of frozen strawberries and bananas, almond milk, and carrots. I topped it with granola, flax seeds, chia seeds, and fresh strawberries. 🍓 Halloween is a time for chocolate and sweets! This mix is popcorn, mini Kit Kats, rolos, cocoa dusted almonds, white chocolate pretzels, mini candy corn, M&Ms, and thin pretzel sticks. Definitely a treat! |
